Who says size doesn't matter? Me! Size does matter and I want it to be as small as possible! Pause!

Update 1.4, [8/2/24]
The optimization update! Changed the overall file size of the game from <110MB to… drum roll please… build tension, build tension… even more… 8MB. I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. It was both easier and more impressive than I thought it would have been. My deepest apologies to all of you heisters out there who have had their Playdates so egregiously weighed down by this game. Download size is now >6MB! Yay!

Amazing! How did you achieve a 95% reduction in file size? Thats really impressive.
Music compression! Previously they were uncompressed .wav files which made up, no joke, 99% of the whole game's data. So compressing to mono and 22khz absolutely smashed the total file size. It sounds noticeably worse but music isn't a *huge* part of the game, thankfully!
