I'm doing my first sale! Both on the Catalog and on itch. So if you haven't purchased the game yet. This first week of September is a great time to jump into a hapless heist full of fault and folly. 

Now onto the other business... Not to reveal too much personal information about myself but I'm going to be attending grad school this upcoming fall which means that the gracious free time that has been afforded by my full time job... will be absolutely demolished by being a full time student and part time worker (Yay! Bills! Capitalism!). While this isn't to say that I will no longer be supporting The Heist of the Argonaut Limited, I will likely not be as attentive and also will likely not be as fast with bug fixes. So, please forgive me. I hope that if you're reading this that you're still able to enjoy the game and it's not constantly breaking on you.

Additionally, I have always wanted to release the source code for the text engine that I created for this game. And now it is released! Here! For free! This is, of course, lacking the music and art that I commissioned for the proper game as well as all of my writing. But, if you plan on making a text adventure game for the Playdate, perhaps this source code could be useful to you or at the very least: You can learn from my mistakes. 

I was hoping to write out extensive comments, clean up the code, and make it nice and readable. But, honestly, I think that the state of the engine source code now is more true to me and more true to the game. I may eventually do an update that allows you to boot into a demo of sorts. But for now, it's just the code in a form that is currently unrunnable. 

Last note for anyone actually reading this. If you are interested in my releasing the actual source code of the game, let me know in the comments! I'd have to have a conversation with the artists that I worked with and might have to write out some more strict licensing verbiage but... I am open to it.
